You don’t have to spend the big bucks to enjoy some of the best hotel pools in Austin.
While not all of the pools on the list are as affordable as the others, the price tag may be worth it with some of the temps we’ll top out at this summer. Plus, just think of all the insta love you’ll receive when you post pics from these fabulous locales. Keep in mind that you can usually find cheaper deals on weekdays.
Here’s how locals can dive into the hottest hotel pools in Austin!
The kitschy South Congress hotel offers a perfect authentic Austin experience. Opened in 1938, it has maintained its quaint look and feel while still offering a totally modern and hip vibe. They currently offer $20 day passes for 3 hour blocks from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and $40 Friday to Sunday. They are also offering daily adults only neon nights swims from 5 to 10 p.m. for only $15. Get more info here.
Looking for more swim time? Austin Motel now has a Swim Club! They’re offering limited memberships available in two waves: now to July 15 and July 15 through October 31. The swim club is $500 and will include unlimited swim time plus: special room rates, discount at the Lobby Shop, priority booking for private events & buyouts, and one guest at no additional cost per visit. Soak up the sun at one of Austin’s newest luxury hotels! The pool knowns as La Piscina is a literal oasis. It’s a Tex-Mex dream with food, frozen margaritas, and an assortment of outdoor-friendly snacks. This summer reserve a pool chair from midday, afternoon, or evening for $50 per chair. A nearby alternative to the hotel pools in Austin, the Texas Wine Country Resort Camp Lucy offers resort pool day passes with swim up bar and food options from Tillie’s. The adult day pass is available Sunday through Thursday with a $50 entry fee to be applied in its entirety as a Tillie’s food and beverage credit during the day of your swim. 3509 Creek Road, Dripping Springs | Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Deep in the heart of all the east side action, the East Austin Hotel pool offers day passes for $40 (kids under 5 are free). Be transported with vintage Palm Springs vibes as you sip weekly drink specials and snack on some delicious bites. Note that there is a cancelation fee of $20 and Friday and Saturday reservations are only available day-of.

Don’t just lounge this summer, picnic at the Magdalena hotel pool! Enjoy their sunken pool with great downtown views. Purchase a four-hour pool pass for $60 a person (two person minimum) for 12 to 4 p.m. or 4 to 8 p.m. -Monday through Thursday. The pass also includes your choice of a bottle of wine, a six-pack of local beers, or four frozen cocktails. Soak up the sun or breathtaking views of Lady Bird Lake at The Deck, located just outside of Geraldine’s restaurant. Sip on craft brews, cocktails created with local spirits, and fresh pressed juices made with the local produce. Located on the 7th floor rooftop of the Marriott Austin (Downtown), this oasis like getaway is the perfect day-cation. The boutique hotel located in Westlake Hills just 20 minutes outside of Austin offers eight comfortable cottages, plus a farm to table cafe, and bar. Their adorable pool is open to area residents on Tuesday through Friday for $80 for up to 4 people. The Azul Rooftop Pool Bar + Lounge sits 20 floors above Austin and is a gorgeous spot to sip an evening cocktail and take in the view of the city. The pool is open for day-passes starting at $40 for a max of two people. Afternoon or evening day beds start at $75 (max 3 people).
