You don’t have to spend the big bucks to enjoy some of the best hotel pools in Austin. Sometimes you can even live it up poolside for FREE.
Of course, not all of the pools on the list are as affordable as the others, but with some of the temps we’re topping out at this summer, the price tag may be worth it. Plus, just think of all the insta love you’ll receive when you post pics from these fabulous locales. Here’s how locals can dive into the hottest hotel pools in Austin.

The Azul Rooftop Pool Bar + Lounge sits 20 floors above Austin and is a gorgeous spot to sip an evening cocktail and take in the view of the city.
Though the pool was open to Austin residents in the past, it is now reserved for hotel guests and parties who rent cabanas. The bar, however, is open to the public seven days a week from 5 p.m. until close.

Have a full day-cation experience at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort, a short drive from the hotel pools in Austin. Set on 400 acres of rustic natural beauty along the banks of the lower Colorado River, the resort is a wilderness retreat with myriad activities for families and adults. Splash and play at the amazing water park featuring a lazy river, waterslide, and sandy beach area. For a relaxing environment, kick back at the adults-only pool or book a spa pass at Spa Django for ultimate pampering and bliss. Take a dip in the sparkling pool or book a Spa Pass to enjoy soothing amenities such as a saline soaking tub, eucalyptus steam room, dry sauna, fitness center, relaxation lounge and more. Whether you prefer to lounge poolside, unwind in the sauna, or break a sweat in the fitness center, Fairmont Austin is the ultimate getaway.
Additionally, the Fairmont offers an exclusive package for Texas residents, which includes complimentary parking and the best available room rate online. Austin locals booking this package for a staycation have been able to do so at a starting price on less-busy weekends as low as $179 per night.

Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (some holiday dates blacked out), you can hang where many of the Hollywood elite stay when in the ATX. Entry to the Four Seasons pool includes use of the locker rooms, fitness center, eucalyptus steam room, towels, noodles, and beautiful views of Lady Bird Lake. Of course, poolside dining and refreshments are also available. Heated to 82ºF, the pool can be enjoyed year-round. Cost is $60 and purchases are made through the spa. Dip into the season with a pool day at Hotel Ella. Through Labor Day weekend, you can sip cocktails and get sunkissed at the pool with a daily pass Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Sunday walk-ins accepted based on availability.
Located just off The Drag, the boutique hotel has a vintage vibe that is both kitschy and swanky. The cost is $25 and includes pool access, pool towel, and entry to the pool and courtyard. Space is limited; subject to availability. Call 512.495.1800 to reserve a pass or email [email protected].

Soak up the sun or breathtaking views of Lady Bird Lake at The Deck, located just outside of Geraldine’s restaurant. Sip on craft brews, cocktails created with local spirits, and fresh pressed juices made with the local produce. Wash it down with delectable pool appropriate fare with a touch of Austin flair from the team at Geraldine’s. And here’s some good news for you! The pool is now open to the public. Passes start at $35 during the week ($15 for kids), and $40 for adults on the weekend ($20 for kids). They also offer various cabana packages, starting at $200.

You can live the Vegas lifestyle right here in Austin by renting a poolside cabana at Edge Rooftop Pool Bar at the JW Marriott. Rentals are available from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and can be booked online. A $250 food & beverage minimum is required on weekdays. The weekend rental fee is $500.
You can also gain access to the JW Marriott Austin pool and amenity deck and fitness center following a Spa by JW Treatment (manicures, pedicures, massages, facials, etc.). Spa treatments can be booked online as well. More info here.

Mondays through Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., locals can reserve a $30 day pass that includes access to the rooftop pool + bar and pool towels. The W Austin WET Deck offers one of the best deals in town for non-hotel guests. Day passes are available weekdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for only $15! Passes on Friday through Sunday are $30. Happy hour and night swims are free from 5 to 9 p.m. on weekdays as well. Night Swim on Thursdays even includes live music.

Deep in the heart of all the east side action, the East Austin Hotel pool offers day passes for $25 on weekdays, $15 for children. On Sundays through Labor Day weekend, the boutique hotel hosts their Summer Swell series, a laidback pool party with a ’60s and ’70s vibe. Be transported with vintage Palm Springs vibes as you sip weekly drink specials and enjoy $5 appetizers, along with other rotating deals. Each week will be a new experience with fun activations, retro decorations, and cool tunes.

A nearby alternative to the hotel pools in Austin, the Texas Wine Country Resort Camp Lucy offers resort pool day passes with swim up bar and food options from Tillie’s. The adult day pass is available Sunday through Thursday with a $50 entry fee to be applied in its entirety as a Tillie’s food and beverage credit during the day of your swim. The kitschy South Congress hotel offers a perfect authentic Austin experience. Opened in 1938, it has maintained its quaint look and feel while still offering a totally modern and hip vibe. They currently offer $20 day passes (discounted on Sundays) available at the front desk starting at 8 a.m. daily. The boutique hotel located in Westlake Hills just 20 minutes outside of Austin offers eight comfortable cottages, plus a farm to table cafe, and bar. Their adorable pool is open to area residents on Tuesday through Friday for $20. They also host a variety of events on site including pop-ups, pizza nights, live music, dinner parties, and more. The LINE Austin is celebrating Summer with a variety of programming and events at their pool overlooking Lady Bird Lake.
