Beach at Lake Pflugerville

The new beach at Lake Pflugerville Park is a great place to swim.  The beach is not crowded and there are plenty of shaded picnic tables to go around.  There is also a handy pavilion with barbecue facilities and restrooms (hooray!).

The water entrance is very shallow and a great place for little ones to play.  It is important to note, however, that there are no lifeguards.

The beach is made of gravel, rather than sand, but kids have a great time digging into the pebbles if you bring along a pail and shovel.  I would advise wearing water shoes, if you have them, to protect your feet both in and out of the water.

In addition to the beach, you will find this fun climbing ball, a 3.1 mile trail, a boat launch and 7 fishing piers.  If you don’t have a boat of your own, kayaks are available for rent from PflugPfun.  The rental facility is located right next to the beach.

Lake Pflugerville Park is 14-acres of parkland on the northern shore of Lake Pflugerville.  The parking lot is located just North of the intersection of Weiss Lane and Pflugerville Parkway.
