The weekend is here and while Austin typically offers a wide variety of things to do, we may be a little limited this weekend. That’s because it FREAKING COLD! Is there anything more unpredictable than Texas weather? We don’t think so. Let’s just hope the chill pays off with another gorgeous picture like that one above from @Sh._.Y!
Here’s what’s on our Austin Weekend Bucket List for February 12 through 14:
Enjoy a warm cup of coffee!

Warm up with a cup of your favorite coffee drink! This stunning coffee chain believes that good coffee doesn’t require change. With locations in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Boston, and now Austin, if you’re into simple and traditional coffee, this is the spot for you. For more Austin coffee spots click here.
Cozy up on the couch with a delicious local pizza.
Southside Flying Pizza | Multiple Locations

Hide under the covers with a good book!

Warm up with a steaming hot cup of savory soup.
Soup Peddler | Multiple Locations
Maybe you’re looking for a little bit more of a warm and tingly feeling from your fast food. Then you should check out Soup Peddler. Not only do they have amazing hand-made soups, but they also have salads, sandwiches, juices, and smoothies. This fully organic restaurant, with multiple locations around Austin, is perfect for a quick, cozy, robust meal.
Watch a movie made in Austin.
‘Office Space’ | Streaming on Hulu
Did you know Office Space was filmed right here in Austin? It also happens to be the perfect weekend movie considering most of us don’t have real office space anymore (thanks Covid!). You can find a full list of movies filmed in Austin here. Of course, if that doesn’t sound good you can always just binge “Friday Night Lights” – again.
There you go! These are just a few ways to enjoy your frosty Austin weekend. Here’s hoping y’all have a fun, safe, and weird time!
