November 1, 8, and 15 | at 5 p.m. | Circle Brewing Company, 2340 West Braker Lane, Suite B
Join every Friday for Fido Firkin Fridays benefitting various dog rescue shelters in Austin. For every draft of the Firkin on tap, they donate $1 back to that particular rescue. They’ll have beer, dogs, and plenty of good times. See below for the scheduled rescues:
Friday, November 1: Cocker Spaniel Rescue of Austin/San Antonio
Friday, November 8: Heart of Texas Lab Rescue
Friday, November 15: Austin German Shepherd Rescue
What the heck is a Firkin you ask? They take one of their regular beers, cask-conditioned it with special ingredients to create a unique, small, one-off beer. Firkins are beers specific to the taproom, so grab a pint!

This is a great event for the whole family, parents and children alike. You do not need to be an experienced lifter to participate in the dead lift portion of the event. Some of Austin Simply Fit’s highly skilled trainers and coaches will be on site to help participants understand the flow of the event, and be a resource for support. In addition to the dead lifting, there will be a dog adoption station, kissing and photo booth as well as other vendors and giveaways throughout the afternoon. This event will be capped at 50 lifters. While the event is non-sanctioned, Austin Simply Fit will employ the dead lift Revolution Power Lifting’s dead lift standards to ensure safety and consistency across the lifts. Spectators are welcome: $10 donation or a supply donation from APA!’s wishlist at the gate to see the contest.
