Friday June 3rd
Ringo Deathstarr at The Mohawk
Kicking off our list for this week is local band Ringo Deathstarr, a well-known rock group that churns out hits such as “In Love” and “You Don’t Listen.” Playing the Summer Pool Party show with bands such as My Education and Palm Daze, this performance is sure to be a good time, so on come on down to The Mohawk this week to experience some great local music.
Tickets: At the door
Forming in 2014 in Vancouver, Canada, SUMAC is one of the heaviest bands you will hear all weekend with the group bringing new meaning to the phrase “heavy metal.” With songs such as “Thorn in The Lion’s Paw,” SUMAC will add a dose of energy to your Friday that you won’t find anywhere else in town.
One of the latest local acts to hit the music scene is new shoegaze act Pale Dian, a hazy band that will put its audience into a trance with its old vibes and 80’s style tendencies, with tracks such “In A Day” from their debut record Narrow Birth, which dropped earlier this week. With a strong and dazzling lead singer, Pale Dian is sure to become a popular draw around Austin.
