Add Your Bluebonnet Photo Spot to the Map!

It’s bluebonnet time, Texas!  And now that the flowers have had a good deal to drink, hopefully you can find a not-too-soggy place to get your family photo taken before their beautiful blue begins to fade.

Do you have a favorite go-to spot for bluebonnet shots?  If so, please feel free to share with fellow Free Fun in Austin readers. I have created an interactive Google map and I hope you will feel free to add a pin to any 2012 bluebonnet hot spots near you.  If you’d like to, here’s what to do:

  1. Click here to access the map 2012 Bluebonnets (pictured below).
  2. Add the address (or nearest intersection) of a place where you have seen a nice bluebonnet patch this month, in the search bar at the top of the screen.
  3. Once your pin has been placed, click “Save to Map” on the left sidebar.
  4. Select “Bluebonnets 2012” from the drop down menu that will appear and click “Save”.

Don’t want to wait for the map to evolve?  No worries!  Head over here to check out recent bluebonnet sightings!
Once you have your photo, consider entering it in the MetroMoms Texas Bluebonnets Photo Contest. Three winners will get to choose from several awesome Joovy products!
