5 Ways to Cool Off in Austin

It’s hot is Austin! And there’s a good chance we haven’t even seen the worst of it yet. All you can do it sit inside enjoying the AC, or find some way to cool off when you’re outside. We have some suggestions for that!

Here are 5 way to cool off in Austin, or just nearby!

5. Jump Into A Swimming Hole

While we feature Barton Springs and St. Edward Park in our video, there are many swimming holes in Central Texas. You can find them all here.

4. Float A River

From the Guadalupe to the Comal, to many more rivers in Texas, floating is one of the most fun ways to spend a hot summer day.

3. Take A Dip in the San Marcos

While you can float the San Marcos as well, we recommend swimming or even walking stretches of the San Marcos. It’s a gorgeous spot and you want to really be able to see it, not simply float by.

2. Paddle on Lady Bird Lake

Break out that paddle board or kayak and hit the lake. If Lady Bird isn’t your favorite spot, that’s OK. There are plenty of places to get your float on. Check out these eight spots!
