Ocean-Themed Crafts

Sea creature coloring is this week’s ocean-themed craft! You can take these crafts home to work on, or get guided help at the library from 2 to 5 p.m.

Family Movie Night: Luca
Friday, July 1st | From 5:30 to 10 p.m. | McKenna Children’s Museum, 801 West San Antonio, New Braunfels

Join McKenna Children’s Museum on Friday for a showing of Luca, a family film! This is a FREE event located in the McKenna Events Center, down the hall from the museum.

Napoleon Dynamite

Independence Family Scavenger Hunt

Throw on your red, white, and blue for a family Independence themed scavenger hunt. After the hunt is over join us for a complimentary red, white, and blue snow cone, yard games, rock climbing, and dip in the pool!

Keep Austin Dogs Weird
Saturday, July 2nd | From 12 to 6 p.m. | Multiple dog shelters around Austin

Five of the largest animal shelters in the Austin-area ask the public to help with overcrowding, with an adoption initiative called Keep Austin Dogs Weird. If your family could use a dog, these pups would love it before the scary fireworks on 4th of July. Some of the shelters involved include: Animal Pets Alive, Austin Animal Center, Austin Humane Society, Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, and Georgetown Animal Shelter.
