Don your best hippie attire and head to the Bullock Museum on Sunday, August 3, 2014 for 1960s Day! Enjoy free admission all day and 1960s fun from noon – 3 p.m.
Travel backward to the 1960s and explore this wild decade with fun for families. Kids will make their own wearable 1960s art, explore 1968 with exhibit guides just for them, and much more. Hippie attire encouraged!
The schedule:
- Noon – 6 p.m. – Free First Sunday! Enjoy free admission from noon – 6 p.m. Families can explore the Story of Texas through three floors of exhibits that showcase artifacts from around the state.
- Noon – 3 p.m. – Special family programs combine art creation, presentations by partner organizations, and gallery activities.
- 3 p.m. – Dress up as a lost boy (there will be prizes for the best costume) and enjoy a free screening of Hook. Arrive early to get a seat! Screenwriter James V. Hart and actor Dante Basco will answer any of your questions during a post-screening Q&A.
