Here are 10 Rescue Animals to Calm Your Post-Election Day Nerves

If you’re one of the 66.25% of Travis County who voted for Hillary Clinton, you probably need to avoid your social media feeds and find some way to really relax today. What better way to escape election fatigue for a little while than surrounding yourself with some of the adorable animals currently being rescued and adopted out by Travis County shelters and rescue organizations? Even if you don’t have time to go hug some of these cuties in person, just spending a few times looking at their sweet faces should take you away from your troubles for at least a few minutes.

If, however, you woke up happy and hopeful, spread some of that joy around by helping out some of your local shelter animals. Make a donation or volunteer your time to a group like One Dog One Hour or any of the other amazing animal rescue and adoption organizations in the area.

For those of you who didn’t get to wake up and cuddle a warm, furry body (or aren’t currently surrounded by them as you peck away at your laptop), here are 10 cuties, just waiting to brighten up your day. Of course, if you’re considering taking one home, remember that adopting a pet is something that you should take very seriously (unlike this election). Make sure that you, your family, and your lifestyle are ready to bring a new life into your home, and put in the extra effort to find that perfect match in your companion.

Starting the day off right… Bunny cam! ❤?
