‘Hundreds’ Of Manor Students Serve Up Epic Food Fight

That whole going out with a bang at the end of the school year reached new levels yesterday as more than 500 students at Manor High engaged in an enormous food fight. That’s more than one quarter of the student body population battling it out with yeast rolls and cherry tomatoes.

Two high school and two middle school security guards attempted to break up the fight, but the police had to be called to finish the job after the fight spilled over from the cafeteria to the courtyard.

Sadly, the result of their fun was them being sent to their room with no dinner. Well, not really — they just had to eat their brown bag lunches in their classroom, rather than hot lunches as groups in the cafeteria. We imagine it probably looked a lot like this…

Students were also asked to not bring backpacks to school for the remainder of the year (the last day of school is June 2) based on rumors that a big senior prank was in the works, reports KEYE.

I don’t know about you guys, but the threat of a John Hughes movie coming to life down the street gives me a reason to smile. As long as no one gets hurt, of course.
