Make Connections - Or Just Some New Friends - At the #BASHH Tonight!
One of Austin's longest running monthly tweetups happens tonight and you can get in on the fun!
For a few years know, professionals (and cool people in general) in Austin have been meeting up once a month to make connections, have a few drinks, make new friends and reconnect with old ones. The regular event is known as #BASHH (the hashtag is because it originated on Twitter), one of the city's earliest and most enduring "tweetups".
#BASHH, since you were asking, stands for "Big A** Social Happy Hour" and is the brainchild of local tech geeks and real estate bloggers Lani and Benn Rosales. Envisioned as an opportunity to build a community of Austin professionals with a significant online presence, #BASHH has been growing in size and recognition over the years. Tonight is your chance to get it on the fun if you haven't done so already.
This month's #BASHH will be held at The Brew Exchange on West 6th St. downtown. The event is free, but RSVPing at this link will help expedite the process of getting in. Showing up early earns you a free drink ticket (Deep Eddy vodka is helping spread the love for that) but even if you need to be fashionably late, #BASHH events generally have a pretty awesome drink special or two.
And, as always, if you'll be partaking in said drink specials, make sure you have a safe and responsible way home afterwards.
